Hans Christian Anderson’s whimsical one-page story has delighted families for a very long time. The theme of “true love” is often portrayed as “romantic love” in literature. Although that part of love is very important to nurture, the notion of choosing a partner for life is not based on romantic love alone. I have attempted to present an added dimension to the idea of love in this funny and musical adaptation. Suitable for an ensemble cast, the play is visual and full of antics. The music is in the style of rock and roll and brings fun to not only the audience but to the players as well!
